INSPIRED MAKEUP LOOK | ARMANI PRIVÉ FW 2014/2015

Get The Look

1. Start off with a clean base by moisturizing and priming. I used bourjois happy light serum for a natural overall glow. Then conceal to the areas needed such as acne, around the nose and under the eye. *Using your ring finger helps create a better coverage and is more gentle on the eye as under eye skin is delicate and needs a light hand.

 2. Choose a foundation that has a demi-matte finish meaning it it's too matte and not too dewy. Giving your face a young, flawless and smooth complexion. Powdering your face is optional, I left mine as it was to let my skin show through, as we're trying to bring the attention to the eyes and a very heavy coverage might over do it.

 3. Next are the eyes. You'll want to leave them un-primed as again we want a natural vibe and this look would be perfect with our bare lids showing through. So start applying a rich black eyeshadow as a liner and work your way out, as if creating a cat- eye.* Apply gently and in small amounts, you can always add more. Then take your black eyeshadow and add some under the eye half way, this creates a flattering and open eye. Then taking any sort of blending brush connect the top and bottom lid and blend out towards your temples. *When coming across any mistakes use makeup wipes or Q-tips for an easy clean up. Blend in an upward and outward  motion as this creates a flirtatious + sophisticated winged look. *Dropping the wing down gives off a unbalanced look as opposed to  youthful and chic. To finish the eyes apply mascara to the top lashes only. Simplicity can work better sometimes then complexity.

 4. Now the brow! Fill in you brows with any sort of eyebrow fillers remembering to lightly fill not harshly fill. Again using a light hand over blend them from their natural shape, we're going for a thick boxy look. *From over filling them use a spoolie brush to comb out product, and for a less overly filled look finish them with a brow gel. *And whats great is an untweezed brow looks more editorial..apparently!

5. Lastly using your fingers dab any nude, pink, coral or rose shade of satin lipstick to your lips. Non-matte gives your face a more youthful touch and pulls this look together creating a less harsher aura.

Good Luck!

I absolutely adore this look, runway or not I thought recreating this look into something more wearable would help some of you, as I know it might be a bit tricky to pull off a dark eye! Especially if your a beginner in makeup or you find dark smokey eyes a challenge (as most of us do!) Non the less always experiment. You never know what might suit you best until you try them all! I found this look timeless as the drama is all in the eyes and I loved/noticed that natural skin is all in! So that's exactly what I did, keeping my skin + lips soft and natural gave me more room to amp up the eyes without over doing the look. I loved the end result as it looked pretty in the light and bold in the shade. It's something that I'll be giving a try more often anyways!

Such a beautiful collection, hope you'll enjoy it as much as I did!
